The pressure for perfection is overwhelming whether that message comes from others or a voice inside your head. Seeking body perfection is a dangerous game, and can lead to harmful behaviors. You can still be struggling against your body, self-image, self
and possibly self harm without being diagnosed with an eating disorder. My hope is to prevent eating disorders in dancers, to support those who are struggling and journey with those who have recovered. I know what it is like; it is exhausting, a moving target no one can reach.

Remind yourself that it's okay not to be perfect.Wherever you are, please know you don’t have to dance through this alone.
